Apostles Creed - English version

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் படைத்த சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள பிதாவாகிய தேவனை விசுவாசிக்கிறேன்:

அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய நம்முடைய நாதர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவையும் விசுவாசிக்கிறேன். அவர் பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே கன்னிமரியாளிடத்தில் உற்பவித்துப் பிறந்தார். பொந்தியு பிலாத்துவின் காலத்தில் பாடுபட்டு, சிலுவையில் அறையுண்டு, மரித்து, அடக்கம் பண்ணப்பட்டு, பாதாளத்தில் இறங்கினார்:

மூன்றாம் நாள் மரித்தோரிடத்திலிருந்து எழுந்தருளினார்: பரமண்டலத்துக்கேறி, பிதாவின் வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிறார்; அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து உயிருள்ளோரையும் மரித்தோரையும் நியாயந்தீர்க்க வருவார்.

பரிசுத்த ஆவியையும் விசுவாசிக்கிறேன், பொதுவாயிருக்கிற பரிசுத்த சபையும்; பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய ஐக்கியமும்; பாவ மன்னிப்பும்; சரீரம் உயிர்த்தெழுதலும்; நித்திய ஜீவனும் உண்டென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறேன்.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff,they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
